Prehistory
   From the Middle Paleolithic period on, man-made ob jects were fashioned that were later found in several parts of what is now the Netherlands. Indications of different kinds of human occu pation were more frequent in later periods, for example, the Meso and Neolithic periods, with their different pottery cultures and cop per, bronze, and iron objects.
